Timeshare problems that members of Interval International have relate to the total neglect of disclosure and responsibility towards its members that Interval International displays. For example, during Hurricane Dean in the late summer of 2007, there were complaints from Interval International members that the timeshare company failed to inform them that certain resorts in the path of or close to the path of Hurricane Dean would be closed. This resulted in some members misguidedly making the trip to their respective resorts, only to be forced to pay lots of extra money to make last-minute reservations elsewhere as the resorts they booked through Interval International closed down due to the hurricane. Interval International failed to inform them beforehand, and they were not refunded their money by the company for their troubles.
