We stayed with friends at their time-share apartment and was so impressed with our stay, that we have decided to purchase one. Everyone one is so nice and goes beyond what is expected of them. This resort is certainly not up to the standards we are familiar with! There is no dishwasher or laundry facilities in the unit. The entire resort shares one washer and one dryer! There were dead large bugs in the unit daily. The public eating area was so overrun with flies it was impossible to dine there. At times the security staff was spraying for flies as the cook prepared the food. The office staff was very unfriendly and did not go out of their way to assist. Fees were charged for beach towels and no cash is accepted at the dining area, so a final bill is paid at the end. This is not bad, however, they do no take Discover and if you do use a credit card they add 3% in fees! There is also a $50 fee for being there. We were actually waiting for them to charge us for toilet paper. Needless to say we would not recommend or return. -Review courtesy of deb (stayed during Jun, 2006) |

We have been staying at WW II for over 18 years. We started out with just one week then as the years passed we bought another week. Now my son has bought 2 weeks also. So we stay for 1 full month. The resort is amazing. We are like a close knit family there. The workers are very friendly and helpful. They try to greet everyone with a cheerful smile every day. We feel that security is a big item for us and with a full time staff of guards we are very secure there on the island. The villas are constantly being remodeled. There is a brand new market within walking distance of our villa. The Crystal Palace Casino is next door. There are so many things to do or you can choose to do nothing at all. By the way, for a small token, you can ask the laundry room girl to do all your laundry and it will be hand delivered to you the same day. This is sheer luxury for me. The food at the villa is wonderful. There is Bingo in the afternoon especially on a rare day that it rains. The kids have a pool table and ping pong and one of our large pools is heated. The tennis court has plenty of players. In response to "Deb"s posting: the 3% fee is the foreign exchange rate, not the fault of Westwind II.
The $50 fee was a deposit for key replacement if all keys were not returned. That charge was not put on the credit card until it was clear the keys were not returned at checkout. As for flies, we're in their space, not the other way around. The staff is exceptionally adept at mixing professionalism and friendliness, in 20 years I've never wittnessed otherwise.
