My family stayed in their villa. In spite of prior reservation and late check in, we found the place not ready. We have to check everything ourselves and point out to their staff what we discovered. Staff lack courtesy and proper training. They have very indifferent attitude. When my sis said the light bulb in the dining area was busted, the reply from one of its personnel was "anyway, it's bright here." The bathroom faucet was leaking. Some lights were replaced only because we pointed these out to them. There was cockroach under the sink. One pot has no handle. Phone wasn't working, so each time I need to go to their office reception to ask for this, report this and that. The following day, my sis and her American husband joined us, so we transferred to the bigger villa (the one with an aircon attic). The villa was next door to the previous one we occupied. One of their lady personnel inspected the previous one we vacated. She never mentioned about the beige bag w/c we left there until the kid with us started asking for his leapfrog game w/c was in the beige bag. So I had to inform them to see if it was left in the other villa, and true enough my sister went back in with the lady and saw the beige bag. The washing machine and dryer were only for display purposes, they were actually no longer working according to their personnel, so we never used them. Again, we had to ask for what we need - towels, etc. Their towels need to be retired (have seen better days, looked overused). Be careful in using the shower, it dropped on my head when I turned it on because I didn't realize that the shower holder was already broken and the sudden pressure when the water was turned on twisted and freed it from its holder. The most aggravating part was their personnel are not honest. My sis forgot her cellphone w/c she was charging in the attic room and I forgot my charger in the drawer of one of the rooms. When I checked out and before we left the place, one of their lady personnel inspected the place. I made sure we didn't leave the place until she came out of the villa and told me everything was OK. I was pretty sure as she had inspected the place, she would have seen the cellphone on the attic since it was very near the stairway going up the attic. But again she didn't mention anything to me when she told me everything was OK and that we can leave. My sis realized she left her cellphone when we were back in Manila so I called their office. Of course, I was already expecting that they would say they found my charger (who needs this anyway) but they didn't find any cellphone with the charger in the attic room. I told them one of them must be lying. I reported this to their office in Makati, but until now I have yet to receive a courtesy of a reply from them. In fact, when I spoke to one who introduced herself as the Admin in charge (Josephine Peralta was the name given if I could remember it right), she just told me "noted ma'am". I told her, "I don't want a noted answer, I want you to inform me what you intend to do with this" only then did she said she was writing a report on the incident. And that's it. End of the story. She never got back to me after that phone conversation. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Unlike the one who previously wrote her piece, My experience was a total opposite. I was actually surprised by the way that lady related her experience because if that is the case, then she shouldn't have stayed there. Also- Anywhere you go, you should care for your things. I think that it's just immature how you always get to leave your stuff all the time and expect everybody to look after it for you! I felt sorry for Tagaytay Dacha because it didn't deserve the rating that it got. Anyway - I also stayed in one of their executive villas and it was truly one of the best in Tagaytay City. I used to stay in other hotels like Tagaytay Haven and Estancia but this one excelled the most. Their staff was really accommodating and they were really commendable. Everytime I bump into any of them, they always greet me with a smile. The place and accommodation was great too but I must admit that their villas need a little renovation. Even so - the place was still kept clean and orderly. My friends and I enjoyed their big attic which is a good place to hang and just have fun. It was so spacious and good for big groups. We enjoyed their kitchen as it's usable (meaning you can really use their stuff to cook food and is not just there for display). Just like what one of my friends said: we never thought that there's a place like this in Tagaytay apart from Highlands. I truly recommend this place to big groups and to those who just want to relax and unwind. I am speaking for Dacha too much now... They should pay me to be their spokesperson. :) But really - we are definitely coming back.

Tagaytay Dacha Hotel and Villas is NOT advisable and recommendable. I searched Tagaytay Dacha online as I was on a short trip to Manila from Canada to visit my family. I was excited to treat my family and friends and paid for 4 hotel rooms for P3,647.80 per room (P14,500 total) and an executive villa on our last day for P9,821 pesos. And on top of that paid extra for 1 adult at P610 and 1 child P305 and free for 4yrs old and below. Reservation must be paid in full but in my case we were advised 3 weeks before to pay in cash deposited to their account to book the rooms and villa. Reservations are non-refundable and rebooking must be within April only. Here's what I got in return: 1. Upon check in, the Frontdesk staffs were unacommodating upon our arrival and took 1hr to check us in. More so the Front Desk Manager was very unprofessional. 2. The customer service was very poor. Hotel elevator was not in service and we have to carry our own luggages up and down the stairs. 3. The and hotel and villa bathrooms are filthy and bathtub tiles have molds everywhere, very unhygienic. 4. Some rooms have moldy odor and my specific room on the 2nd floor have cockroach. 5. Beware of "complimentary breakfast"! We were advised by their Account Executive 1hr before breakfast that we only have a choice of one piece "tinapa" fish with either a regular egg or red egg and a coffee for beverage. Goodluck if you have kids that don’t drink coffee or family members that can’t eat their fish. I have to order 5 pancake orders for my family members that cost me P680.81 total. Extra person at P610 per night are not entitled for breakfast. 5. The individually air-conditioned 3 bedroom villa as per the advertised 3 bedroom villa on the website (www.tagaytaydacha.com) has only the master's bedroom air-conditioned. The two other rooms have electric fans including the attic. 6. Swimming pool was fine and was the only consolation. Overall stay was disappointing and stressful. It was not worth the money and I felt embarrassed to my family and friends.
