This place had all the amenities of home if you only have a voucher for social service housing. I stayed in room #209 and complained from day 1. In walking in and looking around, we first noticed that the rooms were very small; there was blond hair on the stove & countertop. The chair in the living room is broken, the curtains, sofa and bedding are old the utensils in the kitchen were burned & old. (could have easily been replaced as they were plastic (white that had turned brown from age) There was mold & mildew tiles throughout especially in the living room & bathroom areas along with the mirror in the bathroom that needed to be replaced. In addition, the only large stove burner did not work. The ironing board, cover and iron were very old torn/broken and burnt & finally the telephone in the bedroom was an antique. I complained every day and thought when many guests checked out on Sat. 7/5/08 my arrangements would be changed but up went the Vacancy sign 7 we were left in filthy 209. My family & I stayed out of the condominium as much as possible because we did not want to get sick from the dust/dirt fumes. There are other things and I have pictures but the worst was how my complaints were never addressed with management or she/he never approached me even though all other help knew and they would all respond with "She knows about your complaints." I paid $688.00 and in reality, $88.00 should have been the only amount charged. The rooms were too small for comfort and they only have 32 parking spaces, which made it impossible to find parking and staff's solution was to park across the street or double park which left you always watching your vehicle to make sure it was not hit/damaged. -Review courtesy of Margret (stayed during Jul, 2008) |
