1/5 is too high of a rating. The room are so-so to poor and scruffy looking. But worst of all the hotel is infested with mice!! We saw two in our room on the 9th floor the first night. After fighting with the hotel staff who didn't seem to care, they grudgingly upgraded us to the only other room they said was available on the first floor. The next night we saw another mouse. We argued with the manager to put us up somewhere else or to do anything about the situation and we were made to feel as though we were the ones who had something wrong with them. The website for this hotel is false advertisement at it's best. I booked a room for last Friday and Saturday night. When I arrived at 11:45pm, it took over 25 minutes just to check in and when I finally received the room key I was told the room may be dirty. I went to the room and it looked like the cops had tossed it. I went back down to the front desk where I waited behind another person with the same problems for almost a half hour. When I finally was waited on, they offered my another room that could also be dirty! I asked for a refund and was told I had to cancel 72 hours before check-in(the room was booked on Friday morning so that wasn't possible). I ended up staying in Absecon for less money in a cleaner place. I am still fighting with the management about getting my credit card refunded. I hope anyone who reads this doesn't waste their time or money on this dump!!!!! The website makes it look 100 times better than it is. -Review courtesy of JD (stayed during Nov, 2007) |
