My family lives just 1 1/2 hours away in Pensacola, Florida. We reserved the four bedroom penthouse for a suprise 50th wedding anniversary for my parents. Each of of us siblings and my parents had their own room. The unit was extremely large which gave pleanty of room for the teenagers to sleep. The place is absolutely beautiful. The staff was very helpful in setting up the suprise. We had told my parents we were putting them up in a one bedroom resort for a few days. when they walked in over 50 people were inside waiting to suprise them (both family and friends). The activities around the resort are very diverse. There are water parks for the children and adults. The outlet malls are very large and extremely clean. The place called the "commons" is wonderful to go and just walk down the streets between the various stores. Being an outdoorsman having the Bass pro Shop down the street was very nice also. The resturants around the resort offer exellent food at various price ranges. I would highly recomend this resort to anyone who is looking for a place to go and relax or to take your family for a week of activities and fun. We plan to reserve the penthouse again this year to take my children and their families. Both of my daughters are getting married this year. If you are looking for the ultimate vacation experience for your family, then the Fairfield Destin at Majestic Sun is the way to go. It is a perfect location to be close to all of the action, but also quiet and secluded enough to relax. There are plenty of ammenities such as the beach, golf and plenty of water sports. The restaurants in this area are pretty incredible, too. If you have the opportunity to buy a timeshare here, I would highly urge you to go for it. This place is the ultimate in securing a happy family vacation. What more could you ask for? Five pools, the beach, golf and games. The food around this area of Destin is the best...and the shopping options are plentiful.
