Ocean Front--Beautiful view--walk to famous historic John's Pass Village--fishing, skiing, boating, dining, everything within walking distance. The resort is convenient to everything that has made the Suncoast a favorite vacation spot.

Peaceful location to Watch the dolphins with incredible sunsets from your balcony of this third floor 1/1 unit which Accommodates up to four adults. Cable TV with optional VCR(rent from office), Phone, Dishwasher, Kitched/Dining Room is full size and fully equipped. Bedroom has queen size bed with mirrored closet and Front Room has queen size sleeper sofa. The bathroom has a shower in the large and deep tub which has Jacuzzi jets. There are laundry facilities available at no charge.. The Bay view sliding glass doors give you an incredible Gulf Coast shore line view of the ocean, and is across the bridge/street to Gator’s Bar & Grill, John’s Pass Village Fishing/Sailing center and boardwalk with boutiques and restaurants, casino Cruise, coffee shops, shopping, dolphin/whale watching, marina, and the jetty is a great fishing location. View John’s Pass draw bridge where you can watch the bridge open up and stop traffic while the boats travel in and out of the pass. Parking is included and many spaces available.
Florida's west coast is famed for its beaches. Set on a popular vacation isle Beachfront overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, with a great sunset view of the ocean. Located next to the fishing Jetty and South of John’s Pass bridge, at the northern tip of a long stretch of sandy white beach of the Pinellas Suncoast. Nordvind Beach Resort offers a location convenient to the attractions of both central and western Florida. Gator’s Bar and Casino cruise is a short walk across the street. Treasure Island offers golf and tennis facilities. Fishing, shopping, whale/dolphin tours, marina, coffee shops, ice cream store and restaurants are a short walk across the bridge to John’s Pass . The Trolley bus is a great value. Many excellent clubs and restaurants are within walking distance with views of the water(catch a chance to see the dolphins playing). The Gulf Coast offers opportunities for any number of water activities. Walt Disney World, Busch Gardens, Tiki Gardens, the Salvador Dali Museum, Tampa Bay Downs, and 20 minutes to the well known huge upscale Derby Lane Casino and Racing (Dog and horse racing). All water sports can be pursued in the area, which is known for its fine beaches. After a day's activity, enjoy Nordvind’s amenities which include a chance to relax beside the sun deck of the heated outdoor pool, whirlpool, picnic area, or take a walk along the resort's beach. Weekly Wednesday’s Pot Luck Luncheon for all staying on the premises ( Hot dogs barbecued, optional side dishes are welcome) weather permitting.

Management seriously needs to put some attention to renovating these units. When we purchased years ago we were told that the furniture would be replaced every 3-4 years and that IS NOT the case. It has not been replaced in the 10 years we have owned there. The sofa which pulls out to a hide a bed is a joke! You can not sleep on the mattress at all (all rooms have the same crappy furniture). The mattress if you can even call it that has springs poking out all over and is so old and gross. Also, these are not one bedroom units. They are studios with a room divider that separates the living room area from the dining room. The kitchen is a disaster. Very old appliances and cabinets that are in dire need of replacment as well as a good cleaning. If you don't believe me, stop by and view several rooms and talk to the guests down by the pool area for their opinion of the place. We're selling our unit week. . .
Another bad thing about this place is that management does not enforce the rules at all. Kids are constantly in the hot tub and peeing in the pool. Animals are allowed in the rooms etc. Use to be a nice place but has really gone down hill over the years. -Review courtesy of RJ (stayed during Jun, 2007) |

2.5 star facility with a 5 star view. Right on the beach. The bedroom has a folding partition to separate it from the living/dining room. The old model microwave shows the age of the unit. The sofa, cushions, cutlery and utensils look old and well used. The small bathroom with a deep tub could do with a facelift. We do not know when the room corridor carpet was last cleaned. The stairwell serves as a storage room for broken furniture. But I have to say that the staff are very friendly and helpful.
