I now own 1 month at this resort. We have been vacationing every year since 1997 in Daytona Beach for the 4th of July (Pepsi 400). This is the nicest resort in Daytona Beach in my opinion. It is just fantastic. 2 pools, kids pool and play area, pool bar, lazy river and outdoor hot tubs. Right next to (well kind of attached) the resort are the Ocean Walk Shoppes. They include a mexican restaurant, Bubba Gump Shrimp, movie theaters, Harley-Davidson and more. The only walk way on A1A is attached to the resort and the Shoppes. The resort is just North (only a few minutes walk) of the Daytona Beach Pier. It also has a traffic free beach in front of the resort, which is very nice. The only vehicles you will see are the Beach Patrol. This is also a Gold Crown Resort. One trip to the resort and you'll see why. -Review courtesy of Robert K. Winstead (stayed during Jul, 2005) |

We stayed at Ocean walk over labor day weekend with our 3 teenage daughters. We had a deluxe 2br oceanside room and it was the best vacation we have had in our entire lives. The condo was huge and the view was breathtaking. The girls enjoyed the pools, the ocean, the activities, movie night and the shopping next door. We will go back to this resort without a doubt. We bought points at this resort before any of the buildings were constructed. The sales pitch was very covincing, as were the renderings of the future buildings. We live in Orlando, and thought this would be a great weekend getaway for ourselves and our grandchildren. The first couple of years were quite nice. The resort did turn into quite a spectacle on Daytona Beach. It is located at the bandshell, and they convinced the city to close this part of the beach for automobile traffic. This made it very nice for families with children. No worries about getting hit by cars. However, as time passed, the resort began to look shabby and dirty. Repairs were not being made as needed and even the lobby looked worn and uninviting. I reported most of these findings during each stay at the resort. Every time we came back it got worse. I am very disappointed that this once beautiful resort has turned into a public hotel for anyone that comes in off the street. They seem to cater to walk-in patrons rather than owner. It did not improve with the take-over by Wyndham. We no longer stay at this resort, but use it for trading purposes only. I know that during certain events (Bike week, Daytona 500, Black College Reunion, Spring Break, and many of the other local events) this resorts takes quite a beating. However, I feel that as an owner, I should be able to walk into a well maintained unit, with all of the ammenities that I was promised when I bought this place.
