The Douglas building in this complex is not up to Marriott standards. There are only about 10 parking spaces with elevator access. The hot tub/whirlpool is nearly impossible to get to from this building. We saw by the map we could get there thru the Evergreen Building. When we got into that building, there were no directions to get to the tub area. We wandered around and found the tub, but we could not get in because the gate was locked and our key would not open the gate. Then we found that we could not get back in the building. We were outside in 50 degree weather, in bathing suits, with very poor lighting. We had to walk across sloping grass area and across parking lot to get back to the tacky trailer registration building. The desk clerk acted like this was our fault and did not apologize. She did not want to give us a key to the Evergreen building so that we could get to the tub, but finally gave in with an attitude. This is the worst Marriott Vacation Club that I have ever been to. Several of the buildings in the complex have opted out of the Marriott system, and this building is probably next. The bed is only queen size and it does not have the standard Marriott bedding. This whole episode totally ruined our vacation. This may be ok for skiers to crash, but there are a lot of other choices in Vail at a much cheaper rate. -Review courtesy of Nadine Raney (stayed during Sep, 2007) |
