Bought a unit at this resort and it was promised to be ready for 2006. I just 3/2007 was notified that they had just received permission from the goverments for a construction permit.
What a rip-off. Have been paying annual fees for nothing.

In June of 2004 my brother and I purchased a timeshare condo at Caravanserai through RCI. We opted to stay at other RCI properties in subsequent years within the scope of the RCI Points program. Early in 2007 we received a letter from Caravanserai informing us that the complex had been torn down and that, for a price, we could upgrade to a new condo still under construction. After discussions with representatives of Caravanserai we were told that we could also request a 50% buyback ($5000) via email on our original deal. The email was sent in July 2007 with no response. We chased them again in August and were finally told that our request had been received but that we should not expect payment until early November 2007. Nothing in mid-November so we called again and were told early December. It appears that the rules of business in the Dutch controlled area of this island are not the same as the USA. I purchased a timeshare July 08 and was told all would be ready Jan 09. Always an excuse and the only thing working is their charging every month my bank with a promise it will be ready in the fall, or the winter etc. -Review courtesy of hector hernandez (stayed during Jul, 2008) |
