This is an excellent resort which offers all the amenities one wants . The units are spacious , well kept and roomy.The golf course is right on site and there is a children's pool as well. In the evening we would take a walk down the road to sample some of the local restaurants which serve good food at a reasonable price.The resort also offers a shuttle bus to the train station ( Renfe) which allows you to travel along the coast to the beautiful towns of Malaga, Torremelinos, Marbella etc. -Review courtesy of Sari (stayed during Jul, 2005) |

Everything you could ever want. Well kept apartments and set in wonderful surroundings.
A very relaxing place to spend your holidays. This year was the second year that we have been to the Matchroom and can't wait to get back there again in 2007.

We exchanged our home week in Orange Lake, Florida for Heritage at Matchroom and what a huge disappointment. The grounds are lovely and the units are very spacious, but very outdated. The main bathroom of unit 37 was horrible; dirty cracks, what looked like a cigarette burn on the toilet seat. No walk-in showers, so very unsuitable for the elderly. The main bedroom smelled like a urinal at certain times of the day. We dreaded going to bed. We complained on site and have complained to RCI. We were burglarized while we slept!! Someone entered our 3 bedroom unitl while we were all sleeping and stole wallets. Only took cash and credit cards. Security here is bad. there is an open gate to drive into the underground car park and all stairwells to the units can be accessed from the car park. I never saw it closed or anyone monitoring it at any time. Whoever entered our unitl must have had a master key becuase the bolt had been engaged. The police told us that it is not an uncommon occurance. Resort can also be accessed on one side from a golf course. The resort staff was not as helpful as I would have hoped un helping us deal with this. -Review courtesy of Mary (stayed during Nov, 2007) |
