Rancho Banderas is listed as a 5 star resort but we found the condition of the room we were in to be far below what we would consider 5 star. The funiture was old without the charm of being antique or rustic. The ceiling had a hole in it due to damage from condensation of the air conditioning unit. When the managment was notified they did nothing to correct the problem. The air conditioning unit also had a loud rattling sound that was consistent whenever the air was on, which was all of the time...except the times that the electricity went out. We do not feel that our timeshare trade was an equal and fair trade to the 5 star that we own in Las Vegas.
