BEWARE OF THIS RESORT!
We traveled to Cabo to attend a family member's wedding. They stayed at the Pueblo Bonita at Sunset, which was FANTASTIC... even MAGICAL.
The place is gorgeous upon arrivial, and that is where it ends...
We booked 6 months in advance. Our balcony had a view of a wall. If you leaned out (per their instructions, there is your ocean view) you could see a little water and CONSTRUCTION.
The room had no phone, no remote for the new TV, which had no buttons to adjust volume or channels manually. Turned out it didn't matter because they didn't have cable, no english channels. When you took a shower, bubbles came up the drain next to the toilet. No hairdryer, however the plastic mold that holds a hairdryer was on the wall. No hangers in the closet.
We tried to speak to someone to get moved to a different room, as a week here was going to be LONG. Although we got directed thru 10 people, no one would help. The one man who apparently could help never seemed to be around. Never returned messages, never contacted us.
No valet for the car. We carried our own luggage both in and out.
Other than the place being very large, the rest of it sucked.
The final straw was... only one day did our family join us at our 'resort'. Afer we rode the Seadoo and went parasailing, we came to our resort to swim. Pool was full of bugs, leaves, and other ick. We stayed for about 10 minutes and got out. When I requested 4 towels I was told in no uncertain terms that I did not have proper 'paperwork' with me to get 2 for us (since we were guests staying there), but there was no way they were giving me towells for our guests. I was so embarrassed, as all week we enjoyed Pueblo Bonita's pool and they never even asked if we were staying there... we even requested an additional towel to ball up as a pillow, no problem. I argued for 15 minutes with the towell valet. When he would not flex I requested a Manager... guess what? You guessed it, he was suddenly the Manager... working as a towell boy. hmmmm. I ending up screaming at the top of my lungs until he finally gave in and gave us 4 towells. I also made sure that I returned these 4 precious items directly to him to prove I was a woman of my word and didn't steal his towells. Now, I know you don't know me, but I am a very calm gentle person and never yell... at anyone! I have been with my husband for 23 years... he has never seen me like this... This is what this resort will drive you to. It is not a fun vacation spot!
They wasted our vacation time. We paid a lot of money and ended up staying away...
I have warned everyone I know about this resort.
Location and view awesome... service and attitude of employees... aweful. Go somewhere... anywhere else but here. If you can only come here... stay home!
