This resort offers everything you need for a bush break. It is half an hour from Kruger Park Gate, which means you can make numerous visits to the Kruger National Park. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the chalets clean, spacious and well maintained and the activities varied and fun. It is close to Hazyview for shopping and also close to other attractions such as Pilgrim's Rest (I recommend a round of golf at the beautiful 9 hole course and then lunch in the town), Bourke's Luck Potholes and God's Window. If you want to relax, then sitting on your patio, reading and birdwatching are the order of the day, or catching a tan by the swimming pool would also suffice I am sure. The reason for the four star rating and not higher is that I feel the resort just lacks a little bit of intimacy and complete quiet. You never quite feel that you are on your own as I found that the chalets were a little close to each other. That said, this is a small price to pay for what will be a wonderful holiday at a wonderful resort. -Review courtesy of Gareth Dry (stayed during Aug, 2006) |
