I WAS THERE IN DECEMBER AND LET ME TELL YOU THAT THIS HOTEL IS ONE OF THE BEST LOCATED IN ACAPULCO. THERE IS TOTAL PRIVACY, SPAS, BAR, RESTAURANTS, GOLF COURSE, TENNIS COURSES, A GAME ROOM FOR KIDS, LARGE BEUATIFUL POOLS, NIGHTCLUBS, SPECIAL EVENTS, AND GREAT FRIENDLY SERVICE. THE LOBBY IS VERY BEAUTIFUL....WHAT ESLSE CAN I SAY ITS LOCATED RIGHT ON THE SHORE. I CAN EVEN TELL YOU I DIDN'T WANT TO COME BACK HOME ANYMORE.

The grounds and room were beautiful. The tennis courts include clay courts at no extra charge and are in excellent condition. Some of the courts are covered. The food was mediocre at best and overpriced. The service was generally not good in the restaurants. Buffets are pushed on you and are also overpriced. Maid service is excellent. There is an incredible lack of information provided at the Mayan as to what is available on and off site. Communication is generally also lacking when talking to personel. Language is not the problem as I speak Spanish. The beach had a lot of undertow and was generally unsafe. A previous review said that there was windsurfing and scuba. There is neither although there is scuba available offsite. The diving was well organized. The water was 74 degrees and visibility about 20 feet. There was an abundance of interesting sea life.

We have stayed here 3 years in a row and love it. In 2006, we stayed for a month because the ocean view is fantastic, golfing with cart ( caddie if you want) is onsite, Costco and Walmart are close if want it, the resort is new, clean, beautiful, fun, the mile long pool is good for swimming and/or walking, and there are activities at the resort as well as the downtown activity. You can fix your own meals in the kitchen or go out to eat. There is a jacuzzi in one bedroom, a large bathtub in the other bedroom along with separate showers in each bedroom. There is also a cool little tub on the balcony. The bedrooms are on each side of the kitchen, dining and living room area. It is very spacious, and comfortable. The gym is new and large, as well as the spa. Walking on the beach seems endless, and the sunsets are so romantic. Housekeeping comes in twice a day. Most people speak English, nice.

We arrived at the hotel St. evening .We were not given proper directions to our condo (2times 2 diferent employees). room 3207 right above laundry facility..lots of noise, heat from dryers blown lots of lint right into our balcony, our lil dipping pool and our launch chairs. beds hard as rocks. husband had 50.00 dollars bill taken from wallet and security decided to "Check our luggage" as a standard procedure to see if we had misplaced money?? food overpriced, no information on resort ammeneties, not customer service oriented, staff is more like "target tourist" oriented. HIGH PRESURRE On their sales..it is a buy or die sales presentation .. Well I travel much to many parts of the world... but this is one place I do not wish to go back to...
