Good points:
Nice looking resort
Great swimming pool
Clean accommodation
Polite friendly staff
Nice local town
Some on site activities e.g. archery, tennis
Bad points:
4 hours drive from the nearest domestic airport (double that to international)
Accommodation completely unstocked on arrival
Shop shut Sundays, so if you arrive Saturday PM you won’t get anything till Monday
Mandatory “Entertainment” charge (50Eur/week/each)
Constant loud music playing 10am till midnight-1am all day most days.
Maintenance hit and miss, door trims would fall off, and one of our party was badly scalded using the bathroom by an incorrectly set hot water system
We got the feeling Akiris was aimed at families but with the open air entertainment on to well after midnight there would have been little chance of settling children down for the night.
All in all, although a nice resort with charming staff it is too noisy for a relaxing holiday, not enough night life for younger people or singles and too far from the main cities to be a good touring base.

Nice and very clean, the beaches were deserted and the water was fantastic, but trying to get something to eat was difficult when the store closed! It would help if they had transportation at least to and from the train station! The food was good when they were open, but nobody seemed to know how to make reservations, and after thinking that we had, were told that we could not eat there! We had to ask for blankets when the weather turned cold because there were none in the condos! The entertainment was fun, but the music blasting all day made it difficult to sleep by the pool! Tough place to get around if you don't speak Italian because not too many folk speak english at the resort or town!
