Timeshare Owner's Description:

General Description:
This resort is located carribean ocean front, with beautiful white sand beaches and palm trees. There are lots of lounge chairs and grass cabana umberellas along the ocean beach so you can choose to be in the sun or in the shade. It is very relaxing to lay on the lounge chairs at the beach. There are swimming pools and a swim up bar. The buildings are lovely on the inside and the outside. It is a very clean and luxerious resort. There are lots of places to eat and drink in this all inclusive resort. They even have a speciallty coffee and tea shop and there is also a spa where you can be pampered.

Resort Description:
There is a large bar in the hotel lobby with lots of seating. This is where the guests gather after supper to visit over a night cap. There is usually entertainment. One night there were Mayan dancers in full costume with authentic Mayan music. It was unforgettable. I felt like I was in the pages of National Geographic. They also had Mexican musicians in traditional costume and sombreros one night and that was also very good. Some nights they had more contemporary Mexican musicians, good dancing music and a dance floor for dancing. On most nights the entertainment was over by eleven.

Unit Description:
The studio rooms that I saw included a king size bed in the bedroom, two bathrooms and a sofa bed in main room. There is an outdoor jetted tub on the balcony overlooking the ocean. There is a bar fridge that is always stocked with various beverages. The decor is modern, new, clean and well styled.

Nearby Attractions:
Nearby attractions include Xcaret which is a national water park. At Xcaret you can let the current in underground water caves gently float you along while you admire the ancient fossiled walls. Here you can see turtles, orchids, jaguars, flamingo, monkeys, parrots and much more. You can also swim with the dolphins, snorkel the coral reef and see the many colorful fish and corals. We had a wonderful authentic lunch there while being entertained with Mexican musicians. The whole day was amazing. You can also visit Tulum which is an archeological site with ancient Mayan buildings and architecture. You can also go to Xel-Ha which is a relaxing day among the natural beauty of an inland ocean water park, where you can go snorkeling, feed the fish and see the parrots, walk along the nature paths and enjoy an excellent Mexican meal with amazing margaritas. You can also walk from the hotel along the beach to the little fishing village of Puerto Morelos where you can shop for souvenirs, have coffee or say a prayer from the open Mexican church. A taxi will take you to nearby Playa del Carmen which if you like to shop, you will love the shopping district with all the quaint little shops. At Playda del Carmen there are lots of outdoor cafe's for coffee or a Corona or you can take the ferry over to the island of Cozumel.

Nearby Restaurants:
The food at Ocean Coral is amazing. There is lots of variety and it is well prepared. They also have various resturants at the resort that are included in your all inclusive fee. For lunch you can dine inside or outside with an ocean view. Most people dress up for the evening meal and at some of the resturants men will not be allowed in unless they are wearing long pants. There are also interesting resturants at Playda del Carmen however we enjoyed the food at the resort so much that we did not feel the need to eat off the resort except when we went out on excursions.
