General Description:
This unit is a Gold Crown unit in the Summit Hillside section, a small number of Townhouse style units with split foyer, separate entrances, one above, one below. A nice private bridge from the parking lot to the unit. Grill on balcony ready to go. This unit sits above & has a wonderful view of the ski sllopes which slide through the wooded area. You can see a good amount of deer in the evenings. Resort Description:
This is a beautiful location just outside of Harrisonburg, VA, about a 15-20 minute drive from the major shopping malls, restaurants & many types of stores along the way from Antique shops, to golf carts, to stained glass shops; the list goes on. You can use the mail system at the resort but my husband & I found a cute little post office outside of the resort that is reminiscent of a time long gone...They have been working on building a new shopping center right in the resort for those that like to stay in the resort & not travel beyond. They are to be including Movie Theatres as well! There is a lot of activities for young & old alike such as crafts like stained glass, stepping stones, mirrors, painting, easy & fun for all ages. A fitness facility includes an indoor swimming pool, basket ball courts, etc. A waterpark, indoor/outdoor is for all ages, check out the pictures on the web site, http://www.massresort.com/ There are golf tees, courses, all the equipment you need, golf carts, etc. They have Horses you can ride on along some trails-I suggest signing up early for the earliest AM schedule, as the days go on, so does the heat! They also fill up very quickly. As with any of the activities, call the numbers from your room as early as possible as that is how they prefer to schedule. It is very easy & call them if you cant make it for the time scheduled, they are good at rescheduling you.

Unit Description:
Everything in our units were pretty much updated with flat screen t.v.'s, etc. All units have two bedrooms, one with two twin beds, the other master bedroom with Queen, supposed to be upgraded to King size, definately need to check. So everything should be pretty much in new/excellent equipment. If anything is not up to par, definately call the customer service desk & let them know. They also provide basic settings for 4 -6 people, plates, silverware, glasses, coffee cups, etc. Check for definate quantity if more is needed, they may have more settings available...They provide a starter of all necessities, such as small bottle of dish liquid, soap, dishwasher cleaner, sheets, pillow cases, blankets, etc. If anything more is needed, you can call for certain items, but bring your own to get you through the week, as they can be costly at the general store. They have a Krogers in Harrisonburg, if you want to save on groceries, rather than buying on the resort..One thing great is that now all units have free wireless internet. You can rent the whole unit, upper & lower if available, for sleeping 12 people.

Nearby Attractions:
Definately an Indoor/Outdoor water park in the resort area so you can enjoy during the Winter Months, you will pass this on the right as you are coming into the resort. There are a lot of restaurants as well in the resort, but my husband & I enjoyed driving around outside the resort and found the 'Thunderbird' Diner, on the right as you are heading towards the resort from the main road. There was also a nice coffee/icecream/internet cafe where we enjoyed a frozen, chocolate dipped banana! Quite a few times actually, we really loved them.

Nearby Restaurants:
I tended to eat away from the resorts, there is a great mexican restaurant , I think it's called 'El Charro', near the major & minor malls, off I-81, going toward the resort it's on the left, probably about 10 miles from the resort. It seems like you drive for a long time to get to the resort, but you will see the sign & a gas station on the left. The sign sits on the left, pass the gas station and says 'Massanutten: A Four Season Resort'. There are also many other restaurants, the fun is just what your in the mood for.
