Fairfield Mountain:
Locatedd 45 miles southeast of Asheville, Fairfield Mountains is surrounded by wooded scenery so lovely, it has served as the location for several hit movies, including Dirty Dancing and Last of the Mohicans. The heart of this lovely 2,400-acre hideaway is Lake Lure, a postcard-perfect oasis where canoes and pontoon boats quietly glide across its still waters. Deer and other wildlife are as much at home here as our guests. In spite of such abundant tranquility, there is much to do.

*Two beautiful 18-hole golf courses, each with full-service pro shops, are set in the scenic foothills.
*The marina rents boats for fishing, sailing or canoeing and provides several day and evening cruises of the lake.
*Four lighted tennis courts are set against a dramatic natural background. Swim from our private beach on the lake or at the recreation center pool.
*The recreation center also features an indoor pool, weight/exercise room, sauna and whirlpool.
*Scenic trout streams crisscross the resort. Lake Lure and Bald Mountain Lake are both bass fishing favorites.
*What better view for dining than our lakeside mountain setting? The Hearthside Lounge offers a friendly gathering place and frequent live entertainment.
