Oyster Bay Beach Resort - Timeshare Rental

1. This is a time share condo oceanfront resort
2. The available dates are December 20 – 27 2008
3. Minimum Bid $1650. (Compare similar 2 BR 2 BA condos at over $400/night)
4. It has 2 large bedrooms, 2 full baths, a full kitchen, large living room and a lanai
5. St.Marten is a small island in the Caribbean that is shared by two nations;it is half Dutch and half French
6. US dollars work perfectly on the Dutch side and not so perfectly on the French side where Euros are the official currency
7. I do not know which unit you will get. It will have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths but the view may be ocean, marina or beach There are NO 'garden' views, only water views (all are, in my opinion, great views!)
8. There are two restaurants on site and two more within walking distance and a plethora of others nearby (I recommend a car, however!)
9. There are no elevators! So if you cannot or do not want to walk to a third floor unit, tell them at check-in. They will accommodate you. (But the 3rd floor units have spectacular views!)
10. THERE ARE EXTRA CHARGES for air conditioning and all visitors to St. Marten must pay a $50 fee to the government. These fees are in addition to the rental fee you pay to RBH Properties.
11. St.Marten is not in the USA – US residents will need a passport!
12. Oyster Bay Beach Resort is located on Dawn Beach. It is NOT “downtown”! It is on the Dutch side very near the French border. It is secluded, romantic and idyllic. The Westin is on the same beach. Phillipsburg, the Dutch Duty Free shopping Mecca is about 30 minutes away and Marigot, the French capitol is also about 30-40 minutes away.
13. Repeat renters may request (12 months in advance) any week they wish!
14. The2-bedroom condo sleeps 6…. but there are only 2 bathrooms.
15. The French side is known for its beaches, restaurants and “haute couture and cuisine” (fancy clothing and dining). The Dutch side is known for duty-free shopping and bargains in electronics, jewelry, liquor and more.
16. Oyster Bay Beach Resort is beautiful and clean. It is meticulously maintained, well appointed, large and comfortable. It is not ornate. It is probably a four-star resort. (Interval International gave it its top rating.)
17. Bring lots of sunscreen (French side beaches are almost all topless)
