Seven miles north of Lihue town, the resort is convenient to area attractions and recreation, like the Wailua River State Park, just a one-mile walk from the property. The Coconut Marketplace is directly across the street and more shopping and dining is available in Kapaa. Hotel Features. The secluded resort invites guests into a slate-tiled lobby with gold and red accents and island décor. The lobby opens onto a garden and a freeform pool complete with a waterfall and rock formations. The Hukilau Lanai is an open-air, fine restaurant offering seafood, prime rib and Pacific Rim cuisine made with local ingredients. Palm trees and meticulous landscaping add to the serenity of the resort, and the 24-front desk staff provides concierge, business and child care services. Guestrooms. The resort offers studio and one-bedroom condo-style accommodations. Studios offer compact refrigerators and microwave ovens, whereas one-bedroom units feature full kitchens with refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers and microwave ovens. One-bedrooms also boast furnished lanais with garden or ocean views and laundry machines. Bathrooms have slate-tile floors and granite countertops, and CD stereos, in-room safes and cable television are standard. br> Expert Tip.
