The charm of this resort is accented by its forests, open fields, ducks and ponds. The decor is modern, but still reflects the days of yore. The restored Manor House was built in 1735. Two restaurants are located at the property. The Grille is family friendly restaurant serving home-style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Kitchen, which offers contemporary American and international cuisine in a more formal atmosphere, uses local ingredients and herbs from their own garden. This resort features indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, spa tub and 19-hole, mini-golf course. Recreational amenities include hiking and biking trails, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, a playground, racquetball and tennis.


The Powhatan Plantation offers 444 one- and two-bedroom units. All accommodations feature fully equipped kitchens with dishwashers, refrigerators, microwave ovens, coffeemakers, blenders, toasters, cookware and utensils. Patios or balconies are offered in all units. Cable television and VCRs are provided. The units are also equipped with washers and dryers. The resort provides a mid-week cleaning for stays of seven nights or more.
