The cosy village Champoussin is situated in the middle of renowned ski resort 'les Portes du Soleil'. This area has 13 interconnected ski resorts, providing the largest linked ski area in the world. Situated within Switzerland and France, 'les Portes du Soleil' can lay claim to 700 kms of pistes with 220 ski lifts to maximise your skiing time. There is also a wealth of picturesque tree clad skiing. Every year the skiing conditions are improved by new pistes and new modern high speed lifts.

During a seven day holiday it is possible to ski in a different area each day. A daytrip to Les Gets/Morzine, Linga, Avoriaz or Chatel/Torgon. Breakfast in Switzerland, lunch in France and back to Switzerland for a well earned après-ski drink.

There are large ski bowls throughout the Portes du Soleil where you will find black runs next to blue runs. Everyone can choose their own route. Whether you are a beginner, an advanced skier, a mixed ability group or a family, the vast area of the Portes du Soleil provides skiing for all standards.
There are some spectacular ski runs like the Swiss Wall and the Coupe du Monde. And after a fresh fall of snow much of the off-piste remains unskied for days. The Portes du Soleil compliments itself with one of the cheapest ski passes in the Alps.
The ski area is also well known for its large number of inexpensive mountain restaurants offering a large choice of menus.
