HIGH LIGHTS
Clifftop Club at Auli is located at an attitude of about 10,000 feet in India’s most scenic location on the snow clad Himalayas. While sitting in the resort one can have a clear view of the snow covered Nandadevi range (highest in India & third highest in the world). Other Ranges include Dronagiri, Kamet, Trishul, Neelkanth, Mana & Mukut. They belong to the Snow-line ranges and are covered with the snow 24 hrs & all round the year. In winters it is a paradise for Skiing and sledding and people who wish to venture out in snow and enjoy snow sports when there is a guaranteed snow. In summers Hikers/Trekkers will find numerous marked walks and there are also mountain bike trails. At the backdrop of the resort lies the famous high altitude Gorson Reserve Forest (part of Nanda Devi National Park) richly habituated by rare Himalayan wildlife including Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Wild Boar, Wild Cat, Wild Rabbit, Jackal, Fox, Hyena and Bear. There are various scenic locations around. The climate in summers is extremely pleasant and air from the deodar and oak trees contribute to natural health spa strongly recommended by Physicians/Naturopaths/Therapists.

Resort has a choice of Studios & One-Bedroom apartments. All units have one sofa cum bed, bathroom, and partial kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, hob with four burners. All units have television with satellite connections, telephones, kerosene & oil heat radiators. There is a change of linen mid weak. Refundable deposit is required. Army medical facility is available at 1.5 Km. from the resort and doctor can be made available on call.

HOW TO GET THERE
In winters (From December end till mid March) due to heavy snowfall the motor road from Joshimath to Auli is not operational. Cable car is the only mode of transportation to Auli from Joshimath. The last trip of the cable car leaves from Joshimath to Resort at 4.20 PM (July to Apriland 6:50 PM(May & June). The tourists are strongly advised to reach Joshimath before the last trip of cable car. Tourists reaching late may have to stay in Joshimath overnight. Members visiting Clifftop Club Resort has to get down from tower number eight of the cable car through steps. Tower number eight is high tower and old people may find it difficult to get down on stairs and walk down to resort in snow. Members are also kindly advised to be careful with small children while getting down or climbing up the tower. The road from Joshimath to Clifftop Club (17 Km) is a steep climb from about 5000 feet to 10,500 feet from sea level right upto the Himalayan Kingdom of Auli. The road to Clifftop Club is a difficult hill track. If the Members wish to come to the Resort directly by there own conveyance they are strongly recommended coming by 4-wheel drive/Jeep/Ambassador car but not by luxury/small car. Members can also leave their vehicles in the parking area at the Ropeway Park at Joshimath and travel to Clifftop Club by ropeway to tower no. eight with their luggage. Asia’s highest & second largest ropeway charges Rs. 200/= per person for a round trip. The other alternative is to travel by road from Joshimath to Gharwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Tourist Reception Center at Auli (14 Km.). Take the exciting and funfilled chair lift ride from there to Clifftop Club. The chair lift ride costs Rs. 80/= per person for a round trip from Gharwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Tourist Reception Center to Clifftop Club. Members can hire Jeep/Sumo from Joshimath to reach Clifftop Club which roughly costs Rs. 500 (five hundred only).
BY ROAD
The best way to travel from Delhi by road is – Delhi to Meerut 61 Km - Meerut to Haridwar 147 Km - Haridwar to Srinagar 129 Km – Sri nagar to Karnprayag 55 Km - Karnprayag to Chamoli 31 Km, Chamoli to Joshimath 51 Km. Joshimath to Clifftop Club Resort by road is 17 Km or by Cable Car it is just 4 Km & 15 minutes ride. Suggested stay at Rishikesh/Rudraprayag to break the journey if required.
BY TRAIN
Nearest Railway Stn.is Haridwar which is connected from New Delhi by Shatabdi Exp., from Bombay by Bandra-Dehradun Exp.and from Calcutta by Howrah-Doon Exp.and from Lucknow by Gorakhnath/Doon Exp..Rishikesh to Joshimath by road. Road from Joshimath to Badrinath opens Mid May-Mid November subjected to normal snowfall.

Nearest Airport is Jolly Grant near Dehradun (280 Km.).Indian Airlines fly thrice from Delhi and Jagson/Archna Airways also regulates their flights.
Very soon a new airport at Gauchar(92 Km.) will be operational within a year.
