Location: The hotel is in the heart of Merida, two blocks from the main plaza with easy access to attractions, transportation and the airport.

The Mayan archeological site of Uxmal is just over an hour away by car, as are many other points of interest such as Chichen-Itza and Progreso.

Rooms: Standard rooms are decorated in elegant Mexican style. Each is equipped with a king-size bed or two doubles, air-conditioning, satellite TV, movie rental, telephone, voicemail, dataport, minibar, safe, full bathroom with hairdryer. Connecting and non-smoking rooms, extra beds or cribs are available.

Facilities: El Castellano has a restaurant, bar and room service. It also offers a swimming pool, massage service and a solarium.
