The Finisterra is located on the Pacific side of the Baja peninsula in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. There is a shuttle from the airport to the resort, as it is a twenty-mile distance. Located on the last hill on the continent (lands end is finis terra), the hotel overlooks the whale migration route, with the Sea of Cortez to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west. The location of the hotel offers incredible views complimented by a feeling of seclusion, but also provides easy access to the center of town. The beach is closed to peddlers and the public. The marina is just outside the resorts driveway for fishing charters, scuba, etc.

The Finisterra has been growing and adding new sections for over 35 years. It retains some of the rustic charm in the original sections, but rest assured the amenities in the section you are buying were planned and executed in the last 10 years. The Palapa Bar sits beside series of swimming pools and more, all in an exquisite natural setting. You'll also enjoy the Whale Watcher Bar, the critically acclaimed Blue Marlin restaurant, a boutique, gymnasium and seven acres of private beach. It is a short hike to lovers beach if you prefer. Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo Cantina is within walking distance, as are all the other clubs downtown.
