Situated on the banks of Loch Lomond, this two level property has spectacular views of woodland and the worldclass golfing green to the rear, with uninterupted views of the loch and marine from your sheltered balcony to the front. The exclusive resort boasts secured entry with only lodge users being granted access. Once in the resort, the peace is so overwhelming it is difficult to image you are only a 15 to 20 minute drive from all the amenities of Glasgow.
The lodge itself is a popular two bedroomed family lodge known as the Endrick with allocated parking for two cars. On the ground level, leading from the spacious entrance hall wtih ample storage space is the master bedroom with vanity unit and wardrobe space with adjoining luxury en suite including jacuzzi and impulse shower. Similarly, the twin bedroom enjoys its own en suite, again finished to a very high standard with impulse shower. With the living area a short flight of stairs, this affords you magnificent views of the Loch leading up to Ben Lomond and the surrounding hills. The living area itself benefits from the wooden design in that it is both spacious while being a welcome cool in warm summer days but still remaining cozy once the sun has gone down. The property benefits from open plan livining including a walk through kitchen area finished to a high standard to include all your at-home luxuries, such as double overn, microwave, coffee maker, double fridge/freezer with adjoining dining area with a pull down bed to the side tasteful hidden during the day in a wooden custom designed storage cupboard. Your lodges has full windows to the front uninterupting your view of the loch with doors out onto your wooden balcony offering a dinning area for those warm summer evenings. Finally, on the first floor of your lodge, you will find a surprise of your own personal swedish sauna room complete with coals and brass water bucket. If you chose to leave your lodge, you are two monutes walk from the restaurant at the marina, open to boat and lodge owners, it serves quality lunches and dinners in a relaxed setting right on the lodge.
Five minutes walk you are welcome to use all of the amenities of the only 5* hotel in Scotland, De Vere Cameron House, including full sports and exercise equipment, swimming pool, golf, boat trips, cycle hire as well as book into the first class Smolletts restaurant for an extra special a la carte experience. The location is ideal for exploring that llittle bit further, either for dinner on Inch Mirren, the only restaurant on the loch accessible by your own personal boat, or into Glasgow with all the restaurants, arts venues and shopping you would expect from the City of Culture.
If you have more time to explore, your lodge affords you an excellent base from which to take a da trips, to Stirling's Braveheart to see its Castle and Wallace Monument or to Helensburgh seaside, home of icecream and Alexander Graham Bell or indeed up into the imposing mountains of where the lowlands meet the highlands in the Trossachs, breathtaking, or further again to the impossibly quiet yet imposing Glencoe. Or if, like me, you simply enjoy a cool drink on a sunny balcony after walking an empty beach or up a secluded hill, this is definitely the place for you.
