This is a very nice unit. Chelan golf course offers free tubbing and Echo valley ski area tubbing is 15 min. from resort. It is a ski area ran by the lions club of chelan and offers winter tubbing for 5 dollars and all day ski tickets are only 20 dollars. It is the perfect place to teach children how to ski and snowboard without the crowds. They even have a low cost rental area, look up Echo valley ski area in a search engine for more info. Mission Ridge ski area is a 45 minute drive from the resort if you are looking for a little more terain for skiing. The Chellan area is a favorite for snowmobiling with miles and miles of snowemobile trails throughout the area, one can rent snowmobiles right there at the sli area. If cross country skiing is your thing, enjoy, because you will be in paradise for the sport. Week 3 is outstanding on the years it falls on, with the Chelan winter Fest. Lake beach bonfire, where the towns Christmas trees are gathered and lit off for a huge Bonfire, Just after the 30 minute awsome foreworks display in the middle of the lake just of shore. Winter Fest also includes the Annual Chili cook-off and the POLAR BEAR PLUNGE into the lake. And for those of you with a treasure detector, Lake Chelans lake level is lowered in the winter for some great treasure hunting coinage, rings, and treasures from the summertime travelers. Of course we cant forget to mention the Casino, a short 15 minute drive or the great winter scenery of Levenworth a hours drive away. ( I bought a June/July week and I had to buy this week with it in order to get the week 26 I wanted. I have stayed here in the petersons waterfron resort for 3 winters in a different unit. The unit number is 133 for week number 3.
