Most visitors and locals will agree that when it comes to beaches on St. John a 'good to best' scale just would not do. The scale for describing St. John's beaches is 'Great', 'Greater' and 'It's a secret so I am not telling anyone'. All beaches on St. John are open to the public. Beachfront property however, in many cases is private and a few popular beaches have hotels nearby.
Day Charters around St John, to St Thomas or to the BVIs are available. Eco-Tours, Dinghy Rentals, Jet Skis & Kayak Rentals, Scuba Diving and other watersports. Duty-Free shopping
Restaurants on St. John offer you various levels of enjoyable dining experiences. From casual outdoor dining to five course meals on patios over looking moonlit Cruz Bay, you will enjoy it all. Experienced chefs create mouth-watering entrees, often offering a large selection from continental cuisine to French, Italian and Caribbean foods.
Many restaurants on the island take some time off after Labor Day and begin reopening during the week of Oct 10th. Recently Caneel Bay has been closed for the entire month of October
