The area is noted for scenic cross-country skiing and is rated as one of the premier snowmobiling areas in the country. A variety of restaurants is within easy driving distance, as well as unique gift, craft, and specialty shops, and museums. Within 45 to 60 miles are four casinos and a downhill ski area.
