This two-bedroom suite is over 900 square feet, with a king sized master bedroom and the second bedroom can be either two twins or a queen.... There are two full baths, a large-screen television and a fully-equipped kitchen, with a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, stove, sink, and a dishwasher.

The two bedrooms are separated by the combo eating/living area.... The large screen TV is in the living area.... Another TV is in the Master.

This beautiful 'Gold Crown' resort built in the mid 1990's, features architecture reminiscent of Newport's Gilded Age.... The amenities includes a unique indoor/outdoor pool, whirlpool spa and a pool-side sauna, as well as children's activity rooms and a private surround sound movie theater.

There is a center courtyard featuring well-appointed landscaping framing the outdoor pool, with whirlpool spa and a gazebo for receptions and outdoor grilling.... Indoors you can find a fireplace seating area for parents to relax while watching their children play in the pool.

AREA ATTRACTIONS

Outstanding 19th-century mansions throughout Newport are open for public tours.... The Newport Rhode Island area was developed by some of the nation's most powerful people.... The Royal family of America is considered to be the Kennedy clan, who maintain a large homestead in nearby Hyannis port, Mass... At another time, the 'old money' from the Vanderbilts to the Rockefellers built in the Newport Harbor area.

Some of the nation's best institutions of higher learning are in nearby Boston, MA, Connecticut, and Providence, RI.... With the close proximity of Boston and New York City, and the peace offered at Cape Cod, Newport, RI could serve them all.

The immediate area near the resort offers activities for the entire family..... An abundance of waterfront shops, boutiques, and restaurants are within walking distance.... The Mansion Walk is an easy ten minutes away. The waterfront and marinas are close at hand.

The eclectic array of shops offer everything from antiques to crafts to fine arts.... And children will enjoy visits to the Thames Science Center, with its hands-on exhibits and special programs.

The airport at Providence, RI is within a half an hour.... Any visit to Newport should always include a least one day trip to Cape Cod. If you take the 10AM ferry to Martha's Vineyard, you can actually be back before dark.... During the Spring, the traffic on the Cape is gone, but all the natural beauty remains.... The charm of the Cape is impossible to resist, just ask the Kennedys...

If you like to browse and eat, Newport is a great area.... We toured the mansions and loved the Breakers, the Vanderbilt's 'summer home'.... We had a wonderful time on the Cape, weather was perfect in the Spring....Newport is actually 'A great little City'.... The mansions were like the palaces or castles of Europe and the narrow brick-lined streets remind you of France or Italy. Lots of one way streets, and parking is difficult.

Being so close to everything at the Long Wharf was a big plus.... Walk the streets of Newport and you will be transported back in time to an era, when America's 'Old Money' recreated some of the best urban settings taken from Europe for all Americans to enjoy.
