Happy Fourth Of July!
Written by: Traver
Happy Birthday to the United States of America! This year the USA will celebrate its 233rd birthday and the celebrations and festivities will no doubt be at an all time high. While many timeshare owners will be taking a well deserved timeshare vacation away from home, others will participate in the activities offered in and around their communities, whether it be a good old fashioned barbeque or a full blown firework display. During all of the celebrations it is easy to sometimes forget that safety should come first, for this reason has become a holiday where many injuries are reported each year, and no one is immune from the accidents that might happen. It is always encouraged to have a good time and celebrate with friends and family but safety should also be on the minds while the festivities are in full swing. Below are a few tips that can help people to have a safe and fun holiday weekend.
Fireworks displays are my favorite part of the 4th of July holiday. Many people like to put on their own fireworks displays in their backyard or wherever their town will allow. However this can dramatically increase the chance of injury, especially if there are small children around. I am definitely not discouraging setting off your own fireworks, in fact I enjoy this more than watching the professional fireworks displays in my area, just remember if you do put on your own show make sure all small children are well supervised at all times. Make sure you check with your local law enforcement agency for all rules and regulations regarding fireworks. With the extra motorist on the road the risk of getting in an accident will increase during this holiday. Make sure to obey all traffic laws in your area while on the road to ensure a safe arrival to and from your destination. It is no secret that people love to drink and party on holidays, especially the 4th of July, make sure you designate a driver before leaving for your destination. Another tip that I have is something that may be overlooked by many people, with summer in full swing and temperatures on the rise it is important to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water. With all the activities and parties going on many people forget to drinking enough water which can easily lead to heat stroke, this effect is intensified in young children and the elderly.
If you are planning to visit a timeshare resort many of them will be offering special activities for this holiday, be sure to check with the staff at your resort. We would love to hear from you about your plans for the holiday, we always appreciate interesting ideas regarding travel and holiday activities. Vacation Timeshare Rentals wishes everyone a safe and happy Fourth of July.
