With almost half of the land area of Sanibel and Captiva islands designated as a wildlife sanctuary, your vacation home at Sanibel Beach Club II offers you an unspoiled tropical setting. The resort has a white-sand beach, as well as a heated outdoor pool. Bike paths can be found throughout the islands, and bikes are available at the resort. Golf and tennis are also popular year-round. The area is also known for its fishing and shelling. After a day in the sun, enjoy any of the fine local restaurants. ** Note ** This resort was damaged by hurricanes in the fall of 2004 and plans to re-open in early 2005. Before renting or buying at this resort, please ask the owner to provide information on the current status of the damage, and confirm with the resort staff. The 18 hole golf course seems to be beautifully landscaped. The yachting would be a perfect romantic day trip. Fishing on the spring fed lakes would be a perfect male bonding, guy trip. The only town that I see close to the resort that seems worth visiting would be Orlando. You could have a day of Disney u0026 Universal Studios, then come back to the peaceful resort to unwind.
