We booked to get married at the Jack Tar in September of 2003. I have to say we had the best holiday ever, the weather was beautiful and so were the people.
In the early hours of 22 sep 2003 we had an earthquake this was 6.5 and was very scarey. it was to be our wedding day and we were unsure if it would happen because of the earthquake but the staff were superb they stayed and carried out their duties as normal even though they did not know if their families and homes were safe, needless to say the wedding went ahead and it was a beautiful day thanks to all the staff involved.
The hotel was clean and beautifully presented at all times, the staff were friendly and were very interested in talking to everyone and making the holiday special.
The entertainment staff were hillarious and kept everyone happy at all times especiially coca cola we have some amazing funny footage of our wedding day with coca cola. saphie, reggie and the others i couldnt have paid for a better wedding video,(thank you guys).
