Me and my best friend, Patty, brought our families to the beach for a nice vacation. We both got rooms right next to each other. My kids were asleep and Patty stopped by my room for some coffee. There were loud kids outside our room, not even from our floor, which resulted in a noise complaint to my room. Because Patty was over at my condo we both got our rooms evicted, and had too many people in the room at one time. The fact I just wanted to have my friend over for some chat time and got evicted for two warnings is ridiculous. I asked the security lady if she saw the kids outside making noise and she said that she did. I then asked if it was okay for me to bang pots and pans outside her room and get her evicted and she wasn't very amused. Neither was I... if you get evicted you will not get your security fee back, even though the point of a security fee is if something is damaged and Bay Club has to pay for a replacement or repair. I feel they evicted us the second night because they still had time to re-rent the condos for other customers. I went back later and saw there were other people staying in my room. It's a complete scam and I recommend going somewhere else. Sincerely, Beatrice Flems

Yes I will agree, this place is a scam. Me and my friends know for a fact that they double book their rooms. If you are going to go to senior week at OC do not stay at this scam of a place. You cant have any more than six people at a time in the room, at any time. Are you kidding? My friends along with at least 8 other groups were evicted in one night. If Bay Club went under or the woman who owns that piece of crap, go under soon I will die happy. We got evicted without even getting our deposits back and we didn't even break anything.

I've stayed at The Bay Club one week every summer in a 3 bed/3bath unit for the past 4 years: my wife and I, three kids, my in-laws, and my dog. We always have a great time. It's a very, very, very quiet place, so I can see why the other posters may have gotten ejected if they were too loud. I never thought about it before, but I guess that is why it is a quiet place: because the guests and management won't tolerate anyone making a lot of noise. In fact, I have never heard hardly any noise while there (except in the indoor pool, which I expect and even contribute to). It's a peaceful place and I think that's great. People that stay there are, in all of my experiences, very respectful of others, probably because it is a timeshare ownership place and most people there are owners, not renters. Heck, people actually pick up after their dogs there!!! The other posters were probably bothering the other guests and the other quests complained. I sure wouldn't want them intruding on the peace of my vacation, and I would complain also. Management has never intruded on us in any way while we were there, ever, and obviously they don't evict people routinely for no reason whatsoever. Eviction is a radical, last-resort solution, but it sure is a solution to a problem! The condo itself is just fine. It's not luxurious by any strecth of the imagination, but it's a fine place to stay for a week. It's right on the bay, has a beautiful view (especially sunset), has a nice dock for the kids to fish/crab/whatever from, there is an indoor pool that is clean/uncrowded/refreshing, and parking is never a problem. I've never seen a bug inside the condo while there, ever, so it must be a relatively clean building. It's got all of the expected condo furnishings. The interiors are kept in good shape. The exterior of the building is not maintained to perfection but I would not call it 'rundown' either, the grounds are not landscaped to perfection, but it's ok. Some flowers/bushes and they mow the grass and clean the parking lot (it's mostly parking lot, not much grass). The a/c works great. Maintenance people respond very promptly to any complaints like a broken lamp or no tv reception (we had both at one time or another but they fixed it in less than one hour). The Jolly Rodger amusement park is next door, which is wonderful: a great waterpark that the kids can walk to and from without having to cross any roads or walk a long distance. There is also a LaserTag gaming place a block away and the kids (and I) enjoy playing war there. The ocean is a short walk, 4 blocks max, but who wants to sit on a beach: there is too much else to do in OC. The north end of the boardwalk is six blocks away, and you can catch the boardwalk tram there, or rent a bike there for some a.m. exercise. So my thoughts are: if your kids are on the wild-side or you are going to throw a party go elsewhere, if you want a 5-star resort and demand perfection go elsewhere, but if you want a quiet/clean/roomy place for your family/pet to stay right on the bay with a pool and plenty of parking then come on down!

For 9 out of the last 10 years we have stayed a week for our family vacation. Each year the building has gotten worse. A couple years ago, they started to charge a security deposit. They put it on my card and took it off not long after we left. It was on $200.00. This year, we stopped to pickup our keys and were informed that we had to give them $500.00 cash or they would not give us our keys. Obviously we were upset. Nothing we could do but give them their cash. We were told we would have the cash sent back in two weeks if nothing was wrong with the room. They made the building supervisor inspect our room before we could check out. He called and told the management company everything was fine. It is now August and we still do not have our money back. It does not take a genius to figure out if they hold $500.00 from each renter for 6 weeks in a money market account, serious money can be made. The merchants wonder why business is down. With EastCoast Management Company renting out rooms, many people will not be back. There were several things wrong with the room when we got there. We made note and the maintenance man fixed them. I bought lightbulbs and replaced them. While I love the location, I will never rent off this outfit again.
