The building is a bit dated now but it has an excellent location on the beach. The units are servicable rather than stunning but supply all you need for a beachside holiday. The pool is small but with the sea so close it was used more as a place to have a dip. The pool furniture was ok and beds can be taken onto the beach as well as on the sundeck. The staff were very helpfull and looked after any questions or problems. Some rooms look directly onto the beach but some of the side rooms had a restricted view.
Whilst we were visiting Wilma hit and the beach was not at it's best, I am sure time will get it back to it's best. Plenty of places to eat, pick of the bunch has very little publicity, namely JD's Restaurant which is at the start of Indian Rocks at mile marker 16. A bus runs the length of the beaches, about 26 miles and is good value at $1.25 for any length of trip or $3 for the day. -Review courtesy of keith black (stayed during Oct, 2005) |

We just got back home from our vacation at this hotel and I wanted to let you know how our stay was.
The outside of the hotel, beach ocean front was beautiful.
The rugs were honestly disgusting and a simple rug shampoo every few weeks is all that would have been needed.
The refigerator noise kept us up at night but nothing close to the beds. When I communicated about the beds, the response was "We have not gotten to that just yet, but it is on our list"

This was our 2nd visit to the resort, but it has gone way downhill since it is no longer affiliated with Celebrity Resorts. A deep cleaning, new furniture, and a change of management would only go a little ways toward fixing the problems at this place.
I'm well aware of the differences between hotel and condo service, but it was news to me that I couldn't get a clean set of room towels during my stay because I'd only reserved 5 nights (instead of 7). I know the construction next door is not their fault, but since it's been going on for 4 months, I should have been told when I reserved the room. Maybe they could have put my family in a room on the other side of the building (the place was more than half empty) but instead, I got to spend my vacation awakened at 7:00am by power tools and hammers 15 feet from my bedroom window.
This was one of the worst lodging experiences I have ever had - and I was a travel agent for 15 years and thought I'd seen it all! To top it off, when we checked out a day early because we couldn't take it any more (and we took special care to get out long before the 10:00am check-out time), the manager had the nerve to charge me for a night we wouldn't be staying! What a jerk! The best thing about this place is its location - but since there are many other choices close by on the same beach, you won't have to suffer the way my family did. Take my advice - if you have to spend more money to sleep in a TENT, you'll be better off - just drive right past THIS place.
