Before you stay at LaCosta, you must know which unit you will be staying in -- and get it in writing. We were told we would be staying in a 1 bedroom for 4, privacy 4, full kitchen. When we arrived, we ended up in a 1 bedroom for 4 (only if the other 2 are small children), privacy 2, teeny, tiny kitchen. The unit was basically a motel room with a door added to call it a 1 bedroom. There was a closet with 10 hangers, but NO DRESSER to unpack your suitcase. Having said that, I believe this is the exception. Two owners whom I met while there, showed me their 1 bedrooms and their units could fit 3 or 4 of our unit (unit 201) in them. Units 101 and 201 I know for sure are teeny tiny and unless you are a couple, do not stay there. We had our 2 children, 9 and 12, and it was tedious. The weather was great, though, so we stayed outside of our unit on the beautiful beach and nice pool most of the time. Our unit had a small double bed, hard as a rock, and a pull out couch, 1 TV and the bathroom was like a cruise ship bathroom, with a larger shower (no tub). The resort is older, yet clean and safe. Beach is great, and the people staying there were older, grandparent types, mostly. Very friendly people. If we would have had more space, particularly to unpack our suitcases, the week would have been more enjoyable.
