WOW! I was impressed. It was absolute luxery staying at the Mayan Palace. We stayed in a suite, which is a bed room with a king sized bed, a extra large tub in the room, and a large bathroom. Outside out bedroom was a large, infinity type pool (about typical hot tub size), that was really relaxing. In addition to the bedroom there was a complete living room which could have slept 4 more and a studio type kitchen. It had a small refridgerator, a four burner cook top, microwave, sink, small applicances and new, matching cooking utensils, dishes, flat ware, etc. The pools were the best. We spent seveal days under the fabulous cabanas with thick cushioned queen sized matresses that the staff makes up every morning. There are three beautiful free flowing, expansive pools that overlook the ocean. It is incrediable. The accomodations were great, but the staff made it spectatular. EVERYONE was soooo courteous, friendly and helpful. This is not an all inclusive resort, but it with the available shopping at Playa del Carman we were able to fill in many of our breakfasts and lunches with what we bought at the store locally. The resturants start about at the price of Applebees, Ruby Tuesdays or TGI Fridays and go up. All the food that we ordered exceeded out expectations. I can't wait to go back to one of their resorts.

We had bought in Neuvo so when we went to the Grand Mayan in Cancun we were sadly disappointed. The Grand Mayan itself was not complete, the resort stretches back from the resort parallel to the golf course so there is a lot of time waiting for the shuttle or walking in order to get to the pool/beach area. It is not possible to purchase meal tickets so all the food at the resort is at a premium price. The resort is not near anything for shopping/restaurants so you are limited to what is there unless you want to take a very long taxi or bus ride to town. This is definitely not the same calibre of resort as Nuevo - don't think I would stay there again.

we just got back from our vacation to the grand mayan resort near cancun. the weather was perfect, the resort was beautiful and the service was excellent. the beach on the other hand has alot to be desired. it is so full of rocks in and out of the water, that you can't really enjoy yourself. you might want to go into playa del carmen if you really want to enjoy the beach, no rocks there. but you do need to be prepared to spend alot of money on taxi cabs. because thre resort is located between the playa del carmen and cancun, there is no walking to these places! even tho we had a great time,, this is not a place i would go back to, only because everything is too spread out and far apart. the mayan ruins are a must see!

On the 18th of June my family and I attended what was supposed to be a 90 minute presentation about the Mayan Palace in Cancun Mexico. After 5+ hours of high pressure sales and no less than 5 different sales people offering whatever lies and false information they could got us to sign up for to what was originally a $28,000.00 package for $5000.00 Included in this package was to be 75 Paradise weeks at thousands of resorts worldwide at an average of $650.00 per week no blackouts (False) ˝ Priced Airfare with HIS (False) Discounted cruise certificates (actually cost same or more than booking yourself, (False) As it turned out all the salespersons were selling false promises the most deceitful salesperson was the fourth in line ( Bradley Fox) He came after 4+ hours of high pressure sales. He repeatedly told my family and I not to stand up during this event so not to make other clients nervous. Looking back on it he probably didn’t want us to trigger yet another strong-armed attack from the sales staff. We had refused several times for the reason that our oldest child was about to start college and we couldn’t possibly take on any further debt. That seemed to spurn maybe biggest lie of all. Brad Fox telling us that we could actually make money by selling SOME OF OUR WEEKS and THAT THEY WOULD SELL OUR EXISTING TIMESHARE THUS COSTING NOTHING!! And no more maintenance fees… He assured me that the company would contact us in about two weeks when our membership paperwork was completed and activated. (False, have yet to hear from anyone) During this whole process it was never mentioned nor is it written under Mexican Law we had five days to cancel. Once we returned from vacation and started to research and try to get things rolling on getting a return from the investment, that’s when the nightmare began. I then decided to call the resort and sales office and try to get in touch with Brad Fox since he was the one who had told us the most lies. I placed 5 calls ( see copy of phone bill included) to the Resort, some directly to the Sales Office, each time given a run around being told no one was there or Brad was busy and would have to call me back.( One time they gave me two cell #’s for Brad Fox neither one was active.) As you might guess I have never received a return call. They wear you down with exceedling long and confusing sales tactics, once you refuse enough they take behind the wall away from the general sales floor to their strong-armed closers and fill you full of Too good to be True lies about their services, get you to agree to some deal and then bring in another fast talker (Ted Collas) to welcome you to the family sign and initialize their documents in an attempt to cover up the deceit. There is NO WAY we would have agreed to any deal if we thought for a minute we would not be able to re-coop this investment quickly as we were led to believe!!! I surely hoped that a company with stature of Capital One/VISA would stand up for its loyal customers and not for an obviously dis-honest, fraudulent and no morale’s company that tries to take advantage of innocent people on a daily basis as proven by the information found in blogs all over the internet. I too will spend every spare minute alerting innocent people about this fraudelant company
