Stone Lodges are well equipped, warm and homely. The £50 utility charge seemed harsh in a warm June week, so I will go back in Nov. or Feb. and recoup my losses. Wonderful rural location, yet acess to Newcastle, Edinburgh and even Glasgow is good. 4 tv programmes in lodges, but 24 in the gym - is that not crazy? We had a good time and would return. Locally, Holy Island, Cragside, Wallington are all super days out. Really would recommend this site. -Review courtesy of L Campbell (stayed during Jun, 2009) |
