This English country estate is older than your average time share, but is that not what you came to England for in the first place? The estate is a short drive from Gatwick Airport, but the roads are very narrow and winding. Our apartment was clean and well fitted. The staff at the office were excellent; very friendly and informative. There is much to do if you elect to stay at the estate, however, there is even more to do within a one-hour drive. The pool is old, and could use some maintenance, but the gardens and scenery more than make up for that. The restaruant serves good food; its prices are comparable to any other restaruant in the area (keep in mind that food costs more in UK than it does in the United States). The workers in the bar/restaruant were friendly, entertaining and worked hard to meet our needs. If you are looking for a place to stay in England, that is outside of the "hassle" of London traffic, I highly recommend Brantridge Park. The estate is located close to two quaint little villages (Balcombe and Handcross), and is a short distance from a train station that serves London (to the north) and Brighton (to the south). Rent a car for local travel, use the train to travel into the larger cities. At the end of the day, when you return from your travels, the estate is a good place to rest.
